LED Light Painting
The concept entails leveraging light as a medium for artistic expression. Users interact by directing their light source onto a screen which could be the flashlight on their phone etc. Using Arduino sensors and ml5.js facilitates the translation of these luminous input gestures into digital renderings, thereby allowing users to explore movement creatively.
Concept Development
The concept was inspired by a physical installation called Body Light by random international where the user interacts with a LED screen, almost double the size of a human body. The user stands in front of this piece and can freely move there hands and body to create a reflection of their movement on the led screen . They can view this with little pixels turning on and off as they move. I found this piece extremely fascinating as it helped the audience feel open and expressive through the medium of movement and dance.
